1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files websites store on your device to recognise you across visits or to collect statistics. We also use equivalent technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage) — subject to the same consent rules.
2. Categories on Q-Audion
2.1 Strictly necessary (always on)
Required for the site to function. No consent needed (D.Lgs. 196/2003 art. 122 c. 1).
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| qa-cookie-consent | Stores your cookie consent choice | Persistent (localStorage) | First party |
| NEXT_LOCALE | Preferred language | 1 year | First party |
2.2 Functional (optional consent)
Remember UI preferences. No profiling.
2.3 Analytics (consent required)
Loaded only after acceptance. If you decline, the site works normally — we collect no browsing stats.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguish unique users (IP anonymized) | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics 4 | Session state | 2 years |
| _vercel_* | Vercel Speed Insights / Analytics | Aggregate performance metrics | 1 year |
3. Managing consent
A banner with granular choice appears on first visit. You can:
- Accept all → analytics + functional enabled;
- Reject all → only strictly necessary;
- Customize → choose per category.
Your choice is revocable at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of every page.
4. Third-party cookies
When you consent to analytics, third-party providers (Google, Vercel) set their own cookies under their policies:
- Google Analytics: Cookie types · Opt-out plugin
- Vercel: Privacy Policy
5. Browser-level blocking
You can always block or delete cookies via browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Some site features may not work correctly.
