Operating Modes

Sovereign Operations

Q-AUDION supports multiple deployment modes to match every threat scenario: from enterprise BYOD to fully air-gapped for classified operations.

NFC + QR Sovereign Pairing

With no server at all, two earbuds can agree on a Pre-Shared Key through an NFC or QR exchange. Subsequent calls bypass the cloud infrastructure entirely. Suited to classified operations where even signaling is sensitive.

  • NFC read per PSK exchange contactless
  • Offline QR for phone-to-phone exchange
  • PSK mixed into the handshake via the q-audion-psk-mix label

BYOD Enterprise

For corporate scenarios: the company provides the earbud, the employee uses their own smartphone. Encryption remains hardware-enforced because all cryptography happens in the earbud, independently of the personal device.

  • Zero MDM required on the personal device
  • Employee privacy preserved
  • Corporate audit limited to the hardware perimeter

Air-Gap Classified

In classified scenarios the Sovereign Server runs on an air-gapped network, accessible only from internal terminals. The desktop client connects exclusively via a dedicated network interface. The earbud operates without any internet connection.

  • Internal server only, no Internet egress
  • OTA firmware loaded manually
  • Logging compatible with classified SIEM systems
